I believe the DJI Mini 2 SE is an ideal choice for first-time flyers due to its exceptional stability, making it a standout feature. However, it would be even better if the drone included additional lights for improved visibility during low-light conditions. This drone offers three distinct modes for filming: Cine, Normal, and Sport, ensuring you capture the perfect shot for your needs.
The battery life provides approximately 25 minutes of continuous flight time and can be conveniently charged using a USB 3 adapter. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the DJI Mini 2 SE as an excellent option for your first drone.
As of now, you can find it on Amazon with a retail price of £309.00, excluding the fly more combo. Alternatively, you have the option to purchase the fly more combo for £439 which includes extra batteries, a battery charging station, and a convenient carrying case.
Since recording the video above I have also taken the drone out on daily adventures to practice my flying skills in different weather conditions which can be complicated especially as the DJI Mini 2 SE is rated for 10m/s winds.
While flying the drone I highly recommend using the UAV Forecast app Apple | Android which comes with information such as:
Sunrise/Sunset, Weather, Temperature, Wind, Gusts, Wind Direction, Rain Probability, Cloud Cover, Visibility and the amount of Satellites in the area, with a simple “Good to Fly” or “Not Good to Fly”. This app also includes a map including all restricted airspace around the UK which is important to follow the Drone Code at all times while flying your drone.
