An another episode starts with Doctor Who, Dot and Bubble.. and we finally have our title sequence back! As we get introduced to a character called: “Lindy” who is enclosed in a bubble while walking around. This includes being given directions around the house by given directions: “Forward”, “Turn Right”, “Turn left”. This happens to be the only way she knows how to walk as she struggles to walk in certain directions.
The Bubble seems to be protecting the room, during the work time for 2 hours a day, each day. Lindy is asked to look outside her bubble which reveals this “man eating slug” at her colleagues desk.
Bubble Down, Dot off and is being asked to leave her office to try and escape this monster. The dot seems to be able to hide the slug creatures.
Lindy then gets a voice note from her “mummy”, which the doctor, and ruby are able to see who resembles “Susan Twist” but they recogniser her from “Boom” as the ambulance droid.
Lindy Peppabean meets her crush Ricky September. that she found via the bubble and they manage to get to the final door where there is some codes to open the door, while we the episode ends when lindy meets ruby and the doctor in an underground sewer/water system.
However the doctor is not able to save them as they venture out in the wild, this is due to lindy and the other saved members saw that he was of a different race this made the doctor very emotional which we saw a tear drop.
The episode was based on racism, and narcissistic where he kills her love interest to save herself, during the episode all the characters we only white in coloured, which was the main feeling towards the episode.
This episode was the first shoot that the Ncuti Gatawa first shot, at the end of the episode, Ncuti did an awesome job this episode however i still feel like something is missing, could be the fact we don’t get the transition between episodes with a scene in the tardis where the doctor asks Ruby where she wants to go, or an emergency call comes in. How did the doctor know that this planet/system needed help?
