๐Ÿ“œ Terms of Service

The rules for using the EddiesLife247 website, Discord community, and the Betsy bot's points/shop system.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using eddieslife247.co.uk, joining the Discord server, or interacting with the Betsy bot on Discord, Twitch, or YouTube, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. See also our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

2. Eligibility and age requirements

You must meet Discord's own minimum age requirement (13, or higher where required by local law) to use Discord, and therefore to use most of this community. Some specific areas โ€” currently the Clash RP FiveM roleplay server โ€” are restricted to users aged 18 and over, as noted where relevant. It's your responsibility to meet the age requirement for any feature you use.

3. What the service is

EddiesLife247 is a content creator community spanning YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and Discord. "Betsy" is a custom Discord bot that provides moderation, a community points/XP system, account linking between Discord/Twitch/YouTube, and a points shop, extended to this website for logging in, checking your balance, giving points to others, linking accounts, and redeeming shop items.

4. Accounts and linking

Logging into the website uses Discord's own OAuth login โ€” you're authenticating with Discord directly, not creating a separate account or password with us. Linking a Twitch or YouTube account (via the website's OAuth buttons, a one-time verification code, or a staff member linking it directly) confirms that account belongs to you, and connects its activity to your Discord-based points balance. You're responsible for keeping your Discord, Twitch, and Google accounts secure โ€” we have no way to verify who is actually behind a login.

5. The points system

Community points are a virtual, in-community reward with no real-world monetary value. They cannot be bought, sold, exchanged for cash, or transferred outside the Betsy system except via the built-in "give points" feature between members. Specifically:

  • Points are earned through community activity (chatting, streaming engagement, comments, daily claims, etc.) at rates we set and may change at any time.
  • We may add, remove, or adjust anyone's point balance at our discretion โ€” for example, to correct an error, respond to abuse of the system, or as part of a moderation action.
  • We may reset, discontinue, or fundamentally change the points system at any time, without any obligation to compensate accumulated balances.
  • Points have no cash-out value and are not a security, currency, or financial product of any kind.

6. The shop

The points shop lets members redeem points for community perks (for example, custom roles, shoutouts, or similar). Redeeming an item deducts points immediately and creates a pending redemption for staff to fulfill manually โ€” redemption isn't instant or automatic, and fulfillment timing depends on staff availability. We may:

  • Change shop item availability, pricing, or stock at any time.
  • Cancel a pending redemption and refund the points, at our discretion (for example, if an item becomes unavailable).
  • Decline to fulfil a redemption that appears to be the result of a bug, exploit, or abuse of the points system, with points refunded or removed as appropriate.

7. Supporting the channel

Beyond the Betsy points system (which has no monetary value โ€” see above), there are a few ways to directly support Eddie's work. These involve real money and are governed partly by the third-party platforms they run on, not by Betsy:

Ko-Fi

You can support Eddie's content via Ko-Fi. Members get exclusive perks, including early access to vlogs before they're released to the public. Payments, billing, and membership management are handled entirely by Ko-Fi, under Ko-Fi's own terms โ€” we don't control or process this ourselves.

Twitch Subscriptions

Subscribing on Twitch is governed by Twitch's own Subscriber Agreement and billing terms, which we don't control. Twitch-native perks (badges, emotes, ad-free viewing, etc.) are provided directly by Twitch as part of your subscription.

Donations

Donations are voluntary and non-refundable. A donation doesn't constitute payment for any specific good or service unless explicitly stated at the time. Donations are processed by third-party platforms (e.g. Ko-Fi, Twitch, or similar), whose own terms and payment/refund policies apply.

8. Community Rules

Alongside these Terms, the Discord server has its own community rules, which apply to everyone using it. Staff have final say in all matters relating to these rules.

1. Family-friendly environment

This server is family-friendly โ€” please keep all text and images appropriate and PG-rated. The rant channels are available for venting but may allow content that isn't strictly PG-rated.

2. Respect everyone in the community

Treat all community members and staff with the same respect you'd expect in return.

3. Final authority of community staff

All decisions made by community staff are final. Staff are here to maintain a positive environment, and their judgments on all matters should be respected.

4. Safety and privacy

Under no circumstances should anyone encourage self-harm or suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to a trusted person, or a mental health charity or support organisation. Don't share private or identifiable information โ€” including addresses, contact details, age, educational information, or any other personal data, about yourself or anyone else.

5. Links and promotions

Links should only be shared in the designated self-promotion channel, and must be limited to Twitch, YouTube, or business-related links. Sharing Discord invite links is strictly prohibited.

6. No spamming or flooding

Please avoid spamming or flooding channels unless a channel's own topic explicitly allows it.

7. No sharing of illegal content

Sharing illegal content is strictly prohibited. Staff reserve the right to report such content to local authorities and/or Discord's Trust & Safety team.

8. No discussions of appeals, bans, or punishments

Please don't discuss appeals, bans, or other disciplinary actions with other members โ€” this can create a toxic environment, which staff are committed to preventing. To appeal a ban, use the ban appeal system on the Betsy Portal; appeals are reviewed individually, on a case-by-case basis.

9. No multi-accounting or underage accounts

Per Discord's own Terms of Service, users under 13 years old are not permitted on this server. Creating multiple accounts is also prohibited. Staff reserve the right to report violations to Discord's Trust & Safety team.

10. No DMing or pinging staff (including Eddie), or using @everyone/@here

If you need assistance, please submit a support ticket rather than messaging or pinging staff directly โ€” this ensures the right person can help you in an organised, efficient way. Unnecessary use of @everyone/@here is considered disruptive and may be treated as spam.

Enforcement

Staff take rule violations seriously to keep the community positive for everyone. Depending on the severity and frequency of the offence, staff may issue a timeout, a warning, a kick, or a ban (temporary or permanent), at their discretion.

9. Acceptable use

Alongside the community rules above, you specifically agree not to:

  • Attempt to exploit, automate, or abuse the points-earning or shop systems (e.g. spam farming, self-boosting, or bugs) to gain points or shop items you wouldn't otherwise be entitled to.
  • Attempt to link an account (Twitch/YouTube) that isn't genuinely yours, or bypass the ownership-verification steps.
  • Use the website or bot to harass, abuse, or impersonate others.
  • Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt the website, bot, or their underlying systems beyond normal use.

Violations may result in points/shop access being suspended, account links being removed, or removal from the Discord server, at our discretion.

10. The Betsy support team, and getting support

Server staff and Betsy's owner/admin team have access to relevant parts of your Betsy data (points, activity, moderation history, tickets, and similar) in order to run the community and resolve support requests. Regular server staff are limited to their own server; only Betsy's owner/admin team can act across every server Betsy operates in, and only for account-level actions (suspension, bot-bans, cross-server announcements) โ€” not for reading your activity within a server that isn't theirs to moderate. Full detail on exactly what can and can't be accessed is in our Privacy Policy.

Per the community rules above, please don't DM staff members directly for support โ€” instead, either open a ticket in the relevant server, or message Betsy directly. If you DM Betsy, it will ask a few short questions (which server your issue concerns, what kind of issue it is, and a description) before passing your request to that server's staff team, along with your roles/permissions in that server so staff have the context to help you properly.

11. Content and intellectual property

All EddiesLife247 branding, videos, streams, and original site content remain the property of EddiesLife247 unless stated otherwise. Free downloadable resources (e.g. Minecraft world/resource pack downloads) are provided under the terms stated on their respective pages. Don't reproduce, redistribute, or claim as your own any content from this site or its channels without permission.

12. Third-party services

This site links to and integrates with Discord, Twitch, YouTube/Google, Ko-fi, and other third-party platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, which we don't control and aren't responsible for.

13. Availability and changes

This is a hobbyist/community-run service, not a commercial product with guaranteed uptime. The website, Betsy bot, points system, and shop may be unavailable, changed, or discontinued at any time without notice. We'll try to give reasonable notice of major changes via the Discord server where practical, but can't guarantee it.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the website, Betsy, the points/shop system, or the Discord server at any time, for any reason, including violation of these terms or the Discord server's rules. You may stop using the service at any time by simply not returning; you can also request account data deletion (see our Privacy Policy).

Requesting data deletion means Betsy can no longer recognise you for anything that depends on tracking your Discord ID โ€” this includes the points system, the shop, suggestions and voting, giveaways, tickets, and account linking. In practice, this means you won't be able to participate in these Betsy-powered features, including community events run through Betsy, until you ask to be re-added. This doesn't affect your ability to use Discord itself, chat, or take part in the community outside of these specific Betsy features.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

The website, Betsy bot, and points/shop system are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. We don't guarantee the accuracy of point balances, shop stock, or content displayed at all times.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EddiesLife247 and its operator won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website, Discord server, or Betsy bot โ€” including loss of points, shop items, or account access. Nothing in these terms limits liability for things that can't legally be limited, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these terms remain in effect.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site and bot evolve. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top when we do, and flag significant changes in the Discord server. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

19. Contact

Questions about these terms: [email protected], or reach out in the Discord server.
